PN 22312 consists of a thermal switch that closes at 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Meant to be strapped to piping and then insulated. It comes with 15ft of cable and plugs into the Aux Freeze receptacle of spa pack circuit board. This is an optional use device to monitor water temperatures in pipes that may not always be circulating and/or in pipes that may often contain colder water than the water at the spa pack. When the thermal switch closes, the spa pack's freeze protection function is initiated. Hysterias is unspecified by Balboa, but you can expect that it will not open until temperature is in the 50F range.
