NLCT- SEA BLUE - WATER CLARIFIER
Quickly restore your spa water to perfect crystal clarity with NLCT Sea Blue
"Approved for all types of spas and hot tubs including wood"
If you have tried multiple different spa water clarifiers but still are not able to get crystal clear water, then Sea Blue is your solution.
How it Works: The "Micro-Magnet" Effect
Think of Sea Blue as a magnet for dirt.
- Attract: When you pour it in, the liquid acts like a binding agent, attracting those microscopic floating particles that are too small for your filter to catch.
- Clump: It forces these tiny particles to stick together, forming larger, heavier clumps
- Capture: Now that the particles are bigger, your filter cartridge can easily trap them, removing them from the water permanently.
Safe for All Tubs (Especially Wood)
Many clarifiers use synthetic polymers that can leave a gummy residue on natural wood.
- Wood Safe: Sea Blue is strictly tested and approved for Northern Lights Cedar Tubs. It creates crystal clear water without clogging the wood pores or staining the timber.
- Universal: also 100% safe for Acrylic, Vinyl, and Fiberglass spas.
Key Benefits
- Restores Brilliance: Turns "flat" looking water into sparkling, reflective water.
- Boosts Filtration: Helps your existing filter work more efficiently.
- Non-Toxic: Safe for bathers and compatible with all sanitizers (Chlorine, Bromine, Biguanide, Ozone)
Troubleshooting: Why is my water cloudy?
Using Sea Blue is the final step, but knowing why your water is cloudy helps you prevent it. Here are the top 3 reasons, and how Sea Blue fits in.
1. The "Micro-Particle" Problem (Use Sea Blue)
If your chemical levels (Chlorine/pH) are perfect but the water is still hazy, you have suspended solids. This is exactly what Sea Blue is designed to fix.
-
Dosage: Add 125 ml (approx. 4 oz) per 1000 Liters of water. Run the jets for 15 minutes (with air valves closed) to mix it in.
2. The "Filter" Problem
Sea Blue clumps the dirt, but your filter has to catch it. If your filter is old, clogged, or ripped, no amount of clarifier will help.
-
Tip: We recommend chemically cleaning your filter cartridge (using our Filter Free cleaner) before using Sea Blue for the best results.
3. The "Shock" Problem
Sometimes water is cloudy because of organic bacteria. If the water smells musty, Sea Blue isn't enough—you need to "Shock" the tub with chlorine or non-chlorine shock first to kill the bacteria. Once the bacteria is dead, use Sea Blue to polish up the aftermath.
Clarifier vs. Flocculant: What's the difference?
- Sea Blue (Clarifier): This is a "water polisher." It clumps dirt so the filter catches it. It is low-maintenance and perfect for hot tubs.
- Flocculants (Pool Floc): These make dirt fall to the floor to be vacuumed. Do NOT use Pool Floc in a hot tub. It will clog your heater and plumbing instantly. Always stick to a spa-specific clarifier like Sea Blue.
Northern Light's SEA BLUE is used to restore clarity in cloudy spa and hot tub water. SEA BLUE is compatible with all sanitizers including bromine, chlorine and biguanide.
Healthy clear water is one of the key elements involved in a relaxing hot tub experience. Very Fine particles can form in hot tub water. These particles are so small they don't get filtered out by the filter system. SEA BLUE causes these particles to attract to one another so they grow in size. The larger particles then get filtered out of the water through the filter system. It is these finely suspended particles that give the water a dull cloudy look. With SEA BLUE the water will quickly regain its sparkling clear brilliance!
