We have all seen it: that unsightly dark ring around the water level of your pool or hot tub. It is caused by sunscreen, body oils, and pollen baking onto the surface in the sun. Scrubbing it with pool water doesn't work, and using household kitchen cleaners adds phosphates and foam to your water.

Directions for Best Results

1. Spot Test: If you have a printed or patterned vinyl liner, always test a small, hidden area first to ensure colorfastness.
2. Spray: Spray TNL directly onto the soiled area (the scum line).
3. Wipe: Let it sit for a few seconds to penetrate the grease, then wipe clean with a sponge or damp cloth using steady pressure.
   • Tip: For stubborn, baked-on stains, use a soft-bristle brush (like a dedicated spa scrub brush).
4. Rinse: Wipe the area with a wet cloth or splash with pool water to remove any excess cleaner.

Why not use household cleaners?

Regular household sprays contain ammonia, soaps, and phosphates.

• The Risk: If these get into your water, they feed algae (phosphates) and create massive amounts of foam (soap) that will force you to drain and refill the tub.
• The Solution: Stick to TNL. It cleans the surface without ruining the water.

Directions:

1. Test first on a small spot if you have a patterned liner.
2. Spray TNL onto soiled area.
3. With a sponge or cloth, clean 2 or 3 feet at a time, using an even, steady pressure.
4. Wipe surface with a damp cloth. Rinse with pool water to remove excess TNL.
5. For stubborn stains, scrub briskly with a soft brush.
